European Nightcrawlers 5 LBS

The European Nightcrawler, Eisenia hortensis, is the larger cousin of the Red Wiggler and is the only composting worm suitable for fishing.

European Nightcrawlers prefer cooler temperatures than the Red Wiggler and African Nightcrawler and can thrive in worm bins where the vermicompost is in the 50s.

You should expect roughly 1500-2000 per pound.

Your worms will ship via USPS Priority packed in dry peat moss to prevent overheating.

If received by Friday at 5PM EST, your order should be shipped on the following Monday or Tuesday!

We guarantee live delivery - and we will reship again at our expense -  but in the event of a dead-on-arrival shipment, please send an image or video within 2 hours of delivery!

How to Use – European Nightcrawlers

• Add worms directly to your compost bin, raised bed, or garden soil.

• For composting: bury them lightly under moist bedding (soil, shredded paper, or compost).

• Keep the environment damp (not soaking wet) and shaded from direct sunlight.

• Feed with organic scraps like fruit, vegetables, and coffee grounds.

• Avoid adding meat, dairy, oily foods, or chemicals.

• Maintain temperatures between 55–80°F for best activity.

• Within weeks, worms will begin breaking down material and enriching your soil naturally.
